Looking for new beauty products for spring? Well, the season’s change isn’t just a time to refresh and reorganize your home and office, it’s also a perfect time to looking into changing your beauty routine for the warmer months ahead. So whether it’s your skin type changing, hair needing less hydration or just wanting a fresh new lipstick colour using a spring cleaning excuse to justify your April (and why not throw May in there) beauty hauls is completely acceptable. You’re welcome!

I myself have been looking to freshen the beauty products and routines I follow for spring and summer, and just in general as I try and move to a simpler and as much as possible greener approach to my hair and skin care. I’ve had the chance to discover and regularly use some really great products over the last few weeks and months, and have decided to share my must-have beauty products for spring to help you in your routine revival!
Hynt Beauty Finale Finishing Powder

I received the Hynt Beauty Finale Finishing Powder in Translucent from The Detox Market in their March Detox Box, which I reviewed in full a couple weeks ago here on the blog. Since I got my hands on this tub of magic I haven’t been able to start using it when I need to set heavier applications of makeup. Not only does it work wonders to bake areas while contouring, I also love using it lightly all over my face to set a lighter daytime look. The Finale Finishing Powder is extremely fine and feel like it melts in between your fingers, making it super light weight on the face. But don’t let that fool you it’s sweat resistant and can absorb oils throughout the day without caking, making it the perfect choice for all-day wear as the weather gets warmer! Aside from the overall performance of the product, the one thing I love about this is the control you have with the inner cap which tightly spins open and closed so you have less waste with too much product coming out while dumping some into the lid.
Where to buy: Hynt Beauty Finale Finishing Powder is available at The Detox Market, $40.
Marc Anthony Hair Care Strengthening Grow Long Anti-Breakage Oil

Marc Anthony Hair Care has always been a favourite of mine throughout the years, so it was a totally pleasure when I was sent their Strengthening Grow Long range which includes various products from a shampoo and conditioner, to styling products. The one product that’s really been sticking out to me and that I haven’t been able to stop using is the Anti-Breakage Oil. It’s infused with Ginseng, Caffeine and Sunflower Seed Oil which helps add hydration and strength to weak ends to reduce breakage and bring life to your locks! A couple tips while using this product is add it to damp hair before blowdrying and only apply to your ends avoiding your roots especially if you have oily hair. It’s quite potent and a little goes a long way which is why I love the spray nozzle dispenser; I spray one pump, no more than two if my hair really needs it, and it’s more than enough product to saturate my ends and have them looking healthy.
Where to buy: Marc Anthony Hair Care Strengthening Grow Long Anti-Breakage Oil is available at these retailers, for around $10.
Omorovicza Trio: Instant Perfection Serum, Oxygen Booster & The Queen Of Hungary Mist
I had to include a 3-in-1 for this pick because I just couldn’t recommended any of these Omorovicza skincare products alone. I initially received the Queen Of Hungary Mist, a truly multi-purpose product, and after falling in love with it, I was gifted their Instant Perfection Serum and Oxygen Booster to try.

The Queen Of Hungary Mist is something I don’t think I’ll ever leave out of my beauty routine, ever. This multi-use mist has the most amazing neroli and rose scent which is actually inspired from the Queen of Hungary Water, the world’s first recorded perfume which was created in the 1300’s for Queen Elisabeth of Hungary. For the record, the history geek in me loves this little tidbit of information! Now, if I haven’t stressed it enough already the Queen Of Hungary Mist can be used for a variety of beauty needs; it’s extremely fine mist works to purify and tone skin while also hydrating it. You can use this morning and night after your cleansing routine but you can also use this to set your makeup and even refresh it throughout the day. I’ve personally been using mostly it to set my makeup, and on top of my tinted moisturizer on the more natural days.
The Instant Perfection Serum and Oxygen Booster are products that I use together, and they make a great team. The Instant Perfection Serum is completely oil free, making it a great choice for blemish prone skin and to control shine. In one use my skin already felt hydrated and plump, and since I’ve been using it daily over the last few weeks, I’ve definitively noticed a over all improvement in my skin even before applying products. I use the Instant Perfection Serum with the Oxygen Booster in a 2:1 ratio – two pumps serum, one pump booster – although it can also be used on its own under your serum and moisturizer. This water-gel product was formulate to bring oxygen to the epidermis to plump and smooth wrinkles, relax facial muscles and restore radiance. The Oxygen Booster works to deliver additional hydration and plump skin and is designed to compliment your other skincare products.
Where to buy: Omorovicza products are available at Nordstrom, Four Seasons Toronto Spa and online at Sephora.
Kjaer Weis Glow in Ravishing

Image from The Detox Market
Back in February The Detox Market had me into their new Union Station location in Downtown Toronto for an in-store makeover with luxury organic cosmetic brand Kjaer Weis. The brand has a wide range of products for face, eyes, lips, skin care and tools that are both certified organic and created with sustainability on top of mind. Products are initially purchased in containers which are then refilled once product runs out, cutting down significantly on waste. But these cosmetic containers couldn’t just be well made, they had to be luxuriously designed so that consumers wouldn’t want to throw them now. Kjaer Weis called on none other than Marc Atlan, the creative director behind iconic packaging designs like perfumes from Comme des Garçons, Helmut Lang and YSL, to name a few.
I was given a sample of the Kjaer Weis Glow in Ravishing and will definitely be heading back in to buy a full size. This cream formula highlight applies like butter and leaves the skin looking dewy and brighten without being overly highlighted. I love using the Glow as highlight for day time no-makeup look or as a base to my evening powder highlights to give it an extra boost and more shine.
Where to buy: Kjaer Weis Glow and all other products are available at The Detox Market, $76 and refills $44.
NYX Cosmetics Plush Gel Lipstick

I’m not really a big fan of lip gloss for the simple reason as most leave your lips sticky and your hair always ends up stuck in it. But I do like the look effortlessness of a plump, glossed lips so I needed to find an alternative especially with the summer coming. A friend of mine recommended that I try out the NYX Cosmetics Plush Gel Lipstick, and although there are only a few of their lipstick formals that work well with me I decided to give it a try and picked one up in Nude Beach and it’s been a regular in my lipstick rotation since! I’ll definitely be picking up more of these colours for the spring and summer seasons!
Where to buy: NYX Cosmetics Plush Gel Lipstick is available in-store and online, $9.
* I put together this list of beauty products for spring based on products that I have been using and have enjoyed incorporating into my beauty routine, some of which I’ve been sent in exchange for reviews. The following products were sent to me to review and promote by either the brands themselves or on their behalf: HYNT Beauty Finale Finishing Powder, Marc Anthony Hair Care Strengthening Grow Long Anti-Breakage Oil, and all Omorovicza products.
