The Detox Box: Discovering Green Beauty And Skin Care

The Detox Market_The Detox Box

As I’m sure you’ve noticed with the theme of most of my blog posts over the last few months, beauty and skin care more specifically has been a huge priority of mine in the self-care department. I always was into beauty and makeup, although preferring a low-maintenance routine, but as I inch closer and closer to my 30s a good skin care routine is becoming more and more important to me; something I took for granted my entire life thanks to overall genetically good skin.

What is a “good skin care routine” or even beauty routine to me? Well first off I need it to be easy, because let’s face it none of us are following a 20 step ritual. But more important than it being easy I need it to consist of products that have quality ingredients that are good for your skin and overall health. This is why I’ve really taken to discovering green skin-care and beauty products, and my timing couldn’t have been better!

The Detox Market is a go-to boutique for all things green and natural in the skin care and beauty department with locations in Toronto, Los Angeles, Santa Monica and of course online. They launched their subscription service The Detox Box in Canada this past January which is major news for us Canadian beauty lovers! Each month, The Detox Market features one brand in the box with at least $90 worth of product for you to discover.

I was recently gifted a preview of their March box which is featuring Hynt Beauty, a natural toxin-free luxury cosmetics and skin-care. Everything in their line is completely carcinogen-free making it an easy choice for those interested in the purest products possible.

In my Detox Box for March I received:

– Day Prep Defense Primer (full size)

– Finale Finishing Powder in Translucent Pearl (full size)

– Alto Matte Blush in Nude Apricot (sample)

– Flawless Blending Sponge

I loved that this subscription box featured full sized products, something you really don’t see anymore from most beauty subscription services, which makes this a great value. Often times sample aren’t enough product to really get a feel for how they work for you, especially when it comes to skin-care. I also really liked that not only did The Detox Box include a card with information on the products in the box, but a card with a profile on Hynt Beauty and a little Q&A with Co-Founder Meryl Marshall. The Detox Market not only helps you discover new products with this subscription service but also learn about the brand and people behind the products, something that is important to me.

The Detox Box ships monthly the 1st week of every month, or when purchased depending when it is in the cycle, and is available for $50. You can also sign up for a 3-month, and 6-month subscription which gets you great savings on each month. They also share what’s in each months box online, so you can head into stores or shop online their monthly recommendations.

The Detox Market sent me The Detox Box for the month of March to try, review and share with my friends and followers. My review and feedback on these products and my experience are 100% honest and my own as always. To learn more about my sponsored content, please visit my about me page.
