In keeping with the theme of summer beauty as we welcome in the season, I wanted to go through The Detox Market’s Sunny Days Bundle item by item and give you a full review of the offer.
If you haven’t heard of The Detox Market, they’re a Toronto and L.A. based Organic Beauty & Wellness boutique brining you brands like Goop, Coola, RMS Beauty and Herbivore. If you keep up with my posts I’m sure you’ve seen me mention them a few times as I’ve been partnering with them regularly. Their Sunny Days Bundle launched on the 15th and is a package of great summer essentials valued at over $290 that they’ve put together to share with customers.
The bundle however is not for sale and rather an exclusive gift with purchase. Want to get your hands on this bundle? All you have to do is spend $240 (before tax) and you’ll receive the bundle FREE; that’s over $500 worth of amazing products for under half the price! But hurry, because the Sunny Days Bundles are extremely limited in quantity and their bundles are known to go fast! This offer is only available for shopping on the Canadian TDM site, but a similar Sunny Days Bundle is available to U.S. based customers.
I was luckily gifted one of the bundles to share with my friends and followers, so I wanted to put together this quick little review on each of the products. Don’t worry if you can’t get your hands on the bundle in time because each of these items is available individually, which I’ve linked below!
Inside The Detox Market’s Sunny Days Bundle
Graydon Skincare Matcha Mint Shampoo & Hair Smoothie
Considering how much I’m into green beauty and cosmetics, I’m usually not a fan of hair products and especially shampoos. I never feel like my hair is clean enough, or I’m not particularly into my hair smelling like a wheatgrass shot. I have been totally converted by Graydon Skincare and their Matcha Mint Shampoo and Hair Smoothie which I’ve been exclusively been using it since the day I got it.
The Matcha Mint Shampoo not only smells delicious, but has a cooling feel as you wash your hair giving you this almost instant fresh and revitalizing feeling. I will warn you, especially those of you who have not tried natural shampoos, there isn’t much lather that happens as you apply, but a little does go a long way with this product. I recommend ensuring your hair is very wet, just past dripping, and you apply it at the root first and work it through the ends. For my hair length, I use about 4-5 pumps of product.
The Hair Smoothie is just as great of a product as the shampoo. It has a very subtle yet pleasant earthy green scent, which is thanks to all the botanical ingredients packed into the bottle. With the scalp nourishing broccoli seed oil and the essential oils from parsley, rosemary, sage and thyme within the first use your hair is left feel soft, shiny and revived.
I’ve always been known to prefer tan enhancing products with low SPF protection mostly thanks to my good genes and low-risk for burning (and great bronzed tans). But as I get older, and I really start to take skincare over vanity finding products with SPF in them has become more of a priority. I was really impressed with this Citrus Mimosa Sport SPF 30 from Coola and it’s fresh scent and great application that doesn’t leave any residue which some mineral based sunscreens can be known for. My preference for clean beauty products as me turning to mineral sunscreens and SPF products. Unlike chemical SPFs that are absorbed into your skin to protect, mineral based sun protection sits on top as a barrier and usually aren’t packed with bad ingredients and unnecessary fillers.
I think I’ve found my new favourite charcoal cleanser. This Odacité Black Mint Cleanser is perfect for summer with this cooling sensation and purifying cleansing which is perfect to rid your skin of all the oils and pollution that gets into your skin, especially after a day spent walking the warm city streets. But unlike a lot of cleansers that have charcoal and tea tree oil, your face isn’t left feeling tight or dry so it’s definitively a cleanser you can use daily, especially in the evenings before applying all your night serums and moisturizers.
I love a loose leaf tea and even with my love for coffee, I surprising do drink quite a bit of tea. But unlike my coffee, I enjoy drinking both caffeinated and caffeine-free teas, the latter especially at night. What better way to revive yourself after a long day in the summer sun than with a cup of tea? The Honest Leaf has a great variety of teas each with their own purpose, and this FRESH blend is great for balancing yourself and feeling refreshed. It’s a simple 4 ingredient blend of organic green rooibos (one of my favourite teas), organic ginger, lemon grass and lemon grass oil which although I’ve only enjoyed hot I’m confident would also taste great over ice.
What better to include in a Sunny Days Bundle than a bronzer? And this W3LL People Bio Bronzer powder is the perfect pick, you know being an Allure award winning one and all. I love the adjustable opening that allows you to really control how much powder you poor out limiting waste. The colour is very pigmented but still natural looking and has been great to create both a contour and blush cheeks for my summer makeup looks.
I have to admit, if there’s one skin care product I don’t use as much, it has to be toners. I remember when I first started learning skincare from my mom it was a big part of my routine, but as I discovered other products like serums and masks I’ve definitively neglected toning. This Herbivore Jasmin Green Tea balancing toner has definitively had me reconsidering adding toning to my skincare. It’s been great to help balance oils and calm irritated breakouts while decongesting and refreshing my skin. I use it right after I cleanse, before any serums and moisturizers and only after a week of using it in my routine I’ve already notice a great improvement in my complexion.
I’m not one for eyeshadows and usually stick to a more neutral/natural looking lid making the RMS Beauty Eye Polish the perfect pop of colour and definition. The Eye Polish has a subtle glossy metallic finish that works great as both an eyeshadow or highlight for the neutral tones. The bundle includes the Lunar shade which I’ve been using mostly on my brow bone, inner corner of my eye and any excess product on my nose to give it a little extra dewy glow.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this product as I’ve never seen a coloured lip serum before, but Fitglow Beauty surely knew what they were doing with this one. It’s a perfect stick-free gloss that delivers hydration (it IS a serum) while also naturally plumping lips without any irritants. Oh, and did I mention its 100% plant based? The Sunny Days Bundle will come with the shade BLISS a shimmery nude, but pictured here is GOSPEL a dark pink-nude tone.
