Valentine’s day is definitely a love/hate holidays where you have some that obsess over it while others do all they can to avoid the subject. I’ve always fallen somewhere in between when I think about it. I’m not the type of girl to expect a rented out hotel suite, 6 course meal and 100 long-stem roses but I do enjoy a quiet romantic dinner at home and always expect at least a card and cinnamon hearts. I don’t think you need one specific day of the year to spoil the ones you love, but it is nice to have one.
I may have started my Valentine’s Day gift guides with gifts for him, but we all know Valentine’s Day is really a day for us to get spoiled. From flowers to jewellery there’s so much more emphasis and marketing for us that sometimes it can be a little hard to pin down a good gift. Even with my modest Valentine’s Day expectations, I still do have a few good ideas when it comes to gifts. For those of you shopping for your partner, BFF, sister, mom or maybe just want to send your man a subtle hint I’ve got my top Valentine’s Day gifts for her!
Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her
Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Brut Rosé
Champagne is almost a necessity on Valentine’s Day and of course it has to be on theme so Rosé it is! I’ve tried a lot of Rosés from high-end champagnes to affordable sparkling wines and out of everything I’ve sipped, my favourite is Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Brut Rosé. It’s deliciously balanced with notes of berry fruits that has just the right amount of sweetness. I’m not big on sweet champagnes at all, but I’m also not a fan of bruts. This really is the perfect champagne that is easy to sip without giving you a headache the next day. So if you’re planning on enjoying a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at home, this is a great champagne to enjoy it with. It also goes great on it’s own for a romantic after dinner sip to set the mood.

Diptyque Candle
I am admittedly a huge candle junkie. At any given time, I have at least 4 candles going around the condo with a stash in the pantry. Because of my unruly consumption, I tend to go for modestly priced yet good quality candles. So if you’re like me, a luxury candle like Diptyque is a great Valentine’s Day gift! Diptyque is a Paris based luxury fragrance brand that creates scents for your home and body. It’s extremely hard to settle on one scent, with some of their most popular ones being Baies, Patchouli and Roses, but my all time favourite scent is no doubt Feu de Bois a smoke wood scent, with Vetyver in close second.

Berry Blush Eternal Roses
For me roses on Valentine’s Day are a total must and I’m sure almost every girl you ask would say the same thing. The only downfall about roses, is they don’t last forever right? Well, eternal roses have become a huge trend in floral decor allowing us to enjoy our blooms for longer than a week. My friends and go-to florist Berry Blush have created a beautiful eternal rose arrangement, the Ever Bloom 9, that comes in an acrylic case and lasts up to 3 years. I got mine custom made in black, but they have a variety of colours to choose from including red, pink and lavender. Calvin Klein Watch
Watches have become more of an accessories than a practical piece thanks to us constantly having our phones, but they still make a great gift. I love watches and treat mine more like pieces of jewellery! Calvin Klein isn’t the first brand that comes to mind when you think of watches, but they have a beautiful collection of timepieces and accessories at very reasonable prices. Their High Noon collection caught my eye thanks to the minimal yet elegant designs and I think this watch is the perfect Valentine’s Day gift that’s sure to be adored.

Givenchy Hot Couture
A great Valentine’s day gift is fragrances, especially something feminine and sexy; Givenchy Hot Couture is one fragrance that meets the criteria. This Givenchy perfume is no stranger to the beauty world, crafted in 2000 it’s been a staple scent for nearly 2 decades. It’s just one of those classic scents that lives forever. Hot Couture’s unique scent is a little hard to describe, but doing my best it’s a sweet, wood smell with a light spiciness that’s all packaged together without a hint of masculinity which is rare for fragrances with that scent profile. It’s available as both Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum and although I’m generally an Eau de Parfum girl, the Eau de Toilette is unusually potent and long-lasting.
